Waffle House - Horrible
After being served, Ms Doretha informed me and my guest that this was all the food she was bringing. As to let us know she wouldn't be bringing anything else.
I didnt understand until a few minutes into our meal Ms Doretha asked me to pay informing me and my guest she needed to leave. I have never been asked to pay before I even get salt and pepper on my food. Why did she take the table if she had to rush us so she could leave and could not fulfill service? I thought I paid at the register?
Hesitant, I stop eating to pay for my food. Ms Doretha stood at my table waiting for me to pay. I asked her could I a least have a chance to get my money out,she then turns her back to wait for my payment. I felt uncomfortable unwanted and discriminated against like she assumed i would not pay if she left.
I have never been asked for pay for my food immediately after I get my food at any Waffle house. I asked is there another server coming she said it would be the girl on the next shift. Middle of my meal I found lipstick on my coffee cup. Still no sign of my new server,I asked the cook,the only helpful one, for a another coffee cup,apologetic,she did so.I continued to eat no one ever came to check on me and my guest, refill my coffee or water.
Now I'm frustrated. I asked for the manager she was no help she took up for the past server saying she had to leave early. In reality that has nothing to do with me I came there to be served and eat. Simple.
Since Ms. Doretha had to leave that means I have to suffer for her absence?I felt it was rude for her to ask for my money immediately after being served. I have never been treated like this in a Waffle house, it was the worst uncomfortable experience I have ever had anywhere. When Ms Asa or Aza the manager came to the table she was very rude and inconsiderate and no help at all.
I asked the manager for the 1-800 customer service number. She then directed another server to give me the number off the wall which was 180********. Which provided me the wrong number to contact anyone for complaints. Extremely unprofessional.
I've been in the service industry for years and I felt like my service was unwanted. I have heard bad things pertaining to this waffle house but never believed the rumors until today.
I use to work for waffle house when I was much younger and would never expect this standard of service from this company. Very disappointed.
