Waffle House

2-20-25, 6pm, just a couple of people in the waffle house, so I asked my buddy if he were hungry, I said I would pay, he said sure, as we were walking in I said again to my buddy shouldn't take long to get our food, we sit at a table and me and my buddy were talking, about 9 mins later the waitress finally walked up and asked what food we wanted, I said I would like a T-bone (burnt), grilled cheese, hash brown and coffee, my buddy ordered his food also, 8 mins later the waitress finally gave us our drinks, noticed I mentioned only couple people in the waffle house, my buddy and I talked and talked for at least 14 mins, the grilled cheese and the hash brown the waitress gave to me and gave food to my buddy he ordered, we sit and talked while were talking, fellow shipping with each other, I got done eating my grilled cheese and my hash brown, my buddy finished eating his food also, we were just talking while we were drinking our drinks and told my buddy my T-bone still not done... about 7 mins of drinking and talking my T-bone finally got done, the waitress heading to my table and I said I'm already finished my food, I mentioned to the cook I'm not paying for this, I ordered it like 20 mins ago, i was already finished eating what food I did get, my buddy was already finished his food as well, the cook said (I WILL CALL THE COPS!!) I said fine call them!!

, as the black lady (light skin) the waitress just went out the doors to get my tag number she were on her cell when she was walking out the door, I said to the cook never mind I will pay for it, I really didn't want to cause no scene, then the cook yelled from the stove to the black lady that just went out the doors to get my tag number she said NEVER MIND!!! To her, black lady were still on the phone with the cops, cook told her that I would pay for the T-bone, my nerves were shot, so I told my buddy I'm ready to go, I went to the counter and black lady were still on her cell with the cops, black lady had her back towards me, I stood there at the register to pay for food for at least 4 mins, she then turned around, and I said to her, I really didn't want to cause no scene!! She is the black lady, lite skin said YES YOU DID!!, I said no I didn't, she said, (your mama !!), really??? Wow, I really was not expecting that from her, I said in a very polite manner you should be more professional, she then said something else, but I heard enough from both of them that didn't pay any more attention to her, I didn't notice, but the cop walked in when I just paid for the food, I turned around and walked out the door and heard someone say wait a min, I turned around and looked around to see who said wait a min, sounded like a guy said that, I have then seen a cop were there, i walked back in the door as he walked up to me and said what is going on, the cook said from the stove I paid for the food , cop then turned around asked the cook want him trespassed?

the cook said yes, trespass him!! cop turned around to me and said not to come back or I would go to JAIL!! if trespassed again!!, I told the cop that me and my buddy went there lots and lots of times to eat, at times I gave everyone in there 20$ tips even the cook, i did this many many times, I do believe that me and my buddy was TREATED VERY VERY POORLY!!! AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL !!!, again I will mention I enjoyed and my buddy enjoyed going there to eat!!

and to fellowship with each other!! sense I were trespassed from going there again we will go somewhere else, this is very very uncalled for, so I would like for someone to get in touch with me to let me know what going on with this please,

Ordered some food previously around 28 January 2025. Items were missing from food since order was placed online.

Because I worked by the Bay Meadows location thats the place where I receive food from. You cannot call and let them know what happened and buy me working overnight. I cannot leave the triage area just to go and pick up wrong items that was supposed to be in bag. Going into February I came to the Orange Park location and ordered food online and picked it up.

Worker asked me about how have I been there before and I stated yes, but I had a small issue about food was missing from it and I could not call anyone to report it. She let me know that her GM was in store and to have a talk with him. Erin and I discussed the issue, and he offered to make it up. When trying to redeem food this morning at Bay Meadows location because I had to work.

Employee Victoria and manager Mario were very hostile. I refuse to acknowledge her because she clearly did not want to call her GM a stated its 6 AM in the morning, Im not calling him. I did stated to her that we didnt even have the conversation or talk at this point because nothing was getting resolved, she was getting hostile and making subliminal threats loud enough where me and other staff members can hear them. Mario, the manager at the time was trying to defuse the situation, but employee refused by being argumentative with me after repeatedly, asking her to settle down and dont say anything.

I asked her several times to please not talk to me why me and him was talking and she refused. Insubordination is definitely real. While rolling her silverware, she continue to talk while I was trying to explain to the manager what I wanted, he then stopped in mid conversation while talking to me and repeatedly begged her to stop talking and she still refused. After repeating myself several times to the manager he then caught a attitude with me as if I was the issue.

I truly felt offended and will not, will not be returning to this location. I have already told my medical staff member to not come to either locations because the customer service will be a great deal of disappointment. I felt threatened unsafe and unsecured in all forms. I would love for you to rewind the camera so you can see for yourself what exactly happened.

Once I got off of work this morning I actually went to the next location where I met up withering the first time. I parked up front by the doors by the cameras that way I can finish filling out this form and then proceeded with calling the police for a police report for the threats and etc. While looking up to check my surroundings, I then seen the GM at the back of the store on the phone. I proceeded with my car to the back of the restaurant to talk to him.

He was very professional and helped me by listening to what had happened. He explained to me that the young lady was written up as well as his manager, Im really not sure if its true or not, but I really want to believe him that the problem will be solved. The young lady came outside acknowledging the fact that I was a customer. She had just cursed out this morning around 6 AM and had a big smirk on her face., Feeling no remorse I have a feeling that this will be happening again in the future if I was to ever return.

The GM explained to me that he asked her to come to that location to work, but he did try to rectify the situation by asking me to come back. I refuse because this is the second time within a month period of time that an issue has been warranted. This basically started over some food that was not placed with the right order, and I just was coming to get it replaced per GM. I was treated like a criminal as if I lied about some food in a very disrespectful manner.

Very distasteful. Im not sure who else is there to call and handling this matter, but I can assure you, I am not stopping here.

There are many people in this world that are begging for jobs that have rear responsibilities who know how to treat their customers. Im not trying to be entitled, but I did not warrant any of this this morning

A waitress threw a whole plate full of food at me that I had placed on the counter. I was leaving because they couldn't get my son's order ready after 30 minutes.

They fed everybody else, and then the waitress and the cook had an apology contest over who did what. Anyhow, your management team there is terrible, along with all of your staff, which is very unprofessional. There are two police reports from the 22nd at about 9 o'clock at night and also on the 23rd at nine in the morning. When I went to speak to a manager about getting a refund, your staff attacked me again.

It starts at the top: garbage rolls downhill.

If there's garbage on the top, it's also on the bottom. I expect nothing to be done with this.

So I did an application for waffle because I saw they was hiring, and I immediately got called in for an interview. I went to the interview spoke with the manager at the store on Canal Street in New Orleans,.

The manager that interviewed me was very rude but I didnt think nothing of it because, I needed a job, ( how she was rude, is because she talk at me like she anger about something, and said things I never heard any one say at an interview. Like if you see other not working you mind your business and do your do your work) I was ok I guess,but they I got a call for me to go to orientation, on December 5,6 2024, at first I missed several calls , but I did call back to find out it was the manager a Waffle House let me know if about the orientation. I went to the two day orientation on the dates I mentioned above. After the orientation I waited on a call or text from the store I got hired at to call me and let me know when do I come in for work, no calls, so I texted the manager to ask her, she told me I was supposed to be giving an application at the orientation, which I wasnt.

So she give me the number to someone else to call and ask him , I called him and he told me to come in Monday December 9 2024, at 8am. I did but upon my arrival I was greeted by the rude manager, tell me what are you doing here, I explained I was told to come in today at 8 AM, she did say no one told her about me coming in and she also called the same person. I believe she gave me the number two and he also said he never told no one to come in for 8 AM which he did.. on Wednesday I got a text from Waffle House, stating that I didnt get the position I get picked for the job opportunity, which was OK with me.

So I tried to write an email to figure out. Do I still get paid for me showing up to orientation those two days. I text who I believe was the store manager and asked him do I still get paid for orientation? He was fine yes I also explain to him that I received a text that I didnt get picked for the position and how do I go by getting my check?

He asked me what store did I apply for? I told him the one on Canal Street in New Orleans Then after the manager from the store on Canal Street call me wish I missed her call but I call her right back and she tells me that I never went to the orientation. She had a very bad attitude so I was driving why she called me again for a second time so I waited until I got home to call her. I call her and she started telling me all this hateful stuff like oh I wasnt gonna hire you anyway I dont know how you have the information to go to orientation because I never wanted to hire you.

I heard some bad things about you from your reference first of all another job can tell a previous job. Anything bad about me, especially if I didnt do anything bad thats a lawsuit right in there. Second of all I feel like she was discriminating against me For whatever reason she was discriminating against me for because she didnt give me a real reason why I didnt get higher or why she didnt want me to work there anyway so again she asked me to go back online to redo the application so I can get paid. I screenshot it that in a system essay I have already did an application.

She called me again with a bad attitude look Im trying to do this. You know yelling at me in the phone I didnt argue back with this woman because I dont have time but she was very unprofessional from day one telling me that Im a pay you for your little one day and etc. etc. Then after that, I did call the gentleman.

I spoke to the very first time to explain to him about which has happened. I explained that I did an application is saying that I cannot submit another one because its in the system and this woman keep calling me what a nasty attitude yelling at me through the phone saying she didnt wanna hear me anyway and I like Im not calling to hear that only thing Im asking about is getting paid for my two days of showing up to orientation. He apologize on the behalf of her I guess and now Im just waiting on a call back or text to let me know what I have to do to pick up my check for the two days I showed up to orientation. sign note again I feel very disrespected for us with this lady.

She was rude. I feel she discriminated against me because she didnt have no real reason why she didnt tell me that I didnt get high. She just say I didnt wanna hire you anyway I dont even know you dont.

I didnt hire you. I believe shes very unprofessional and something needs to be done about that

You hardly Walk in to a clean eats anymore. The quality it once had isn't there.

I get the place can be dirty clothes work but to have an odor coming to work is beyond.

If you sit there long enough you notice who works and who doesn't really want to be there. It was before you get the food and hear good music.

Now you more often get food thats cold cus the morning staff is standing around or going in and out smoking or talking negatively about other people.

Where's managers like before that didn't act like the workers made sure the workers are respectful to people and all around. I mean there's at least 4 people on the staff that are nothing but trouble

This location needs a major overhaul and fast.

Bring back the wholesome family place and respectful workers.

Everytime the workers are complaining, gossiping about other customers, trying to be as abusive as possible and pulling other people in its just a bad atmosphere to want to eat or spend your money.

My family over heard one older lady talking about how to demand tips and more money from customers.

This is the one location where you walk in and the workers flat out will sit down and not serve you. They will say they're busy or will have dirty tables and ain't barely cleaning them at all.
